Stand Up Paddle Boarding
Stand up paddling or SUP as many people call it- is a surface water sport that is a progressive form of surfing. The surfer uses a paddle to move through the water while standing on a very large surfboard. Stand up paddling is derived from its Polynesian roots and has been around for a longer than we really now, but this adventurous sport just recently filtrated into San Juan Del Sur! A new trend for SUPs is the yoga and exercise aspect of the sport. Many people have started paddling out and doing a series of yoga positions and core workout training all while keeping balance and strengthening muscles.

SUP at our Surf Retreat
While many women come to our surf and yoga retreat to carve into some waves, others want the option to have a slightly less physically demanding day. Our paddle boards are available to our retreat patrons during their time here and even to those who aren’t with our surf camp (for a fee).
