Ever wished upon a star and hoped one day it would come true? Well, for one special 13 year old, his wish came true with flying colors!! Austin Russel and his family – Father Kris, Mother Nicole, and younger sister Adyson – got to partake in Austin’s wish with the ‘Make a Wish’ Foundation chapter in Dallas Texas! Austin’s wish was to play and develop a game for the TV show ‘Survivor’… So with the TV show currently filming in San Juan del Sur Nicaragua, the Russel family boarded a plan and headed to SJDS for a epic week filled with fun “secret” Survivor games and extra activities around town! The epic Survivor crew contacted Chica Brava, and gave us the honor to give a surf lesson for Austin and his family clan!!! We were stoked to be able to take part Austin and Kris’s very first surfing lesson!!! With sunny skies and small waves the day was a memorable one! As a teacher its always amazing to see the smiles on faces and cheers in the water when someone catches their first wave! Austin and his dad caught so many waves and enjoyed the thrill of the sport!!! Check out the video highlights of all the fun!!!
