An Example of What to Wear Surfing: Chica Brava Surf Camp

There are many options when it comes to what you can wear surfing. Some might prefer basic bikinis, while others leggings and rash guards. Whatever your style may be, always make sure what you are wearing is functional!

Having functional attire while surfing allows you to focus all your time on your surfing and not on your slipping bikini. Brands like Ripcurl, Billabong, Hurley and many others are known for their functional, stay put surf gear for women.

There are many other factors to be considered when picking out your surf attire. Will it be very hot or very cold where you are surfing? Do you need a wetsuit or spring suit? Are you protected from the sun? Do you need a rash guard? Are there jellyfish where you’re surfing? Do you need leggings? These are all questions to be asked when choosing your surf attire!

My personal surf style is all about the bikinis. I prefer functional tops that usually have cross back, adjustable ties. I like cheeky, tighter bottoms because I think they stay put the best when preforming duck dives and taking epic wipe outs. That is my surf attire style…. what’s yours?
