This week we had four extraordinary ladies join us at the Surf House to kick off the month of March Chica Brava style, getting lots of daily surf and sun, getting to know one another, and becoming familiar with San Juan Del Sur, the best surf town in all of Central America (at least we think so)! Each Chica came from a different neck of North America, with Nicky from D.C, Christina from Maryland, Leah from Texas, and Andrea from Canada, the group was definitely diverse, and full of character!

We encountered strong winds, building swell, cold water, and even jellyfish one day, but these ladies charged, regardless of challenging conditions. We surfed Ramanso, Playa Hermosa, and Maderas, had some solid yoga classes, runs on the beach, and even slipped a couple of ‘cocktail by the pool’ sessions in there too. Aside from the surf muscles that got used, our belly muscles got pretty worked as well, thanks to Nicky (who needs to quit her job, start a gelato shop and do a traveling stand up comedy act). Christina, who is an occupational therapist, also gave us all some OT insight on what it means to change lives while doing something you love. We wrapped the week up with big smiles and happy hearts, because while conditions may vary, and our CHICAs are BRAVA, in the end our expertise is having fun! Check out the video with Nicky; She tells us why she chose Chica Brava and how she became a Chica Brava this week!
