This past week Chica Brava experienced a ‘first of things,’ we geared up to run two camps at once!! With so many chicas from around the world we were honored to share this week and help create new memories for all these wonderful ladies!! This week was characterized by three things: shopping, crazy surf apparel, and surf house friends.
We played hosts to a mini high school reunion of sorts- four friends all met up at Chica Brava to re-kindle old memories and create new ones. These four friends moved four beds into one beautiful master bedroom at the Cloud Farm to have a week long sleepover. They also wore the the most practical, but atypical surf attire in the water. To shield from sun burns and rashes, they wore “onsie’s”, leggings, webbed gloves, stripped underwear over swim-suits and so much more. Check out the video of Kim – one of the reunion ladies- telling us what makes her Chica Brava!! We were also joined by a mother-daughter duo who were all smiles and laughs every single day! It was so inspiring to see them challenge themselves, hold such a great bond, and learn how to surf together. Beth, our solo adventurer from London, was the cherry-on-top perfect addition to this group. Her laugh could always be heard from afar and a smile seen on her face. Last but certainly not least, we were joined with the ladies of the Surf House everyday at the beach! Erin and Revi progressed with such ease and charged their fears and learned new things! We were stoked to see their positive energy and had a ton of laughs with them!!
It has to be said that these Chica Brava’s bought the most stuff from the Chica Brava surf shop than any other group thus far…and I must say, they looked smok’n hot in it all! We love being with a group of ladies who is free to do and wear whatever they want in the water!
