This week at Chica Brava we had a solo traveler.
Stephanie from Pennsylvania felt the need to follow her intuition and escape one of the last north east snowfalls, in search of sunshine and waves.
With a strong desire to learn something new-something totally different, she felt drawn to the sea and found herself on a plane on her way to Nicaragua.
Sunday morning led the Chica Brava truck to Maderas in which Stephanie paddled out for the first time in her life. She was up and riding all the way in by the first hour.
Tuesday morning we found ourselves amongst some surprise rainstorms. We were the only ones out at Hermosa. The winds were light, the sea was glass and it poured rain in March! Followed by not one, not two, but three rainbows! It was definitely a magical session to be remembered!
Stephanie then took advantage of the breezy afternoon by heading out on a sunset Catamaran ride.
The next few days we spent time on the outside at Remanso. And for the first time on the outside Stephanie was comfortably dropping in to green peaks and riding all the way to shore. She was simply hooked. She also got to enjoy some views from Jesus and a Rancho Chilamante sunset horseback ride on “Pancho”.
We ended our week at Hermosa in which the sea was clear, the winds were light and she was paddling into her own waves left and right.
I think we could all agree that Stephanie made the most of her week here in San Juan Del Sur. Stay stoked and keep surfing Chica!
